• TMA Workshop – Teen Workshop. Teen artists will explore a variety of mediums and work closely with innovative local teaching artists. With mentorship and socialization at the forefront, they’ll learn about different paths in art while developing their skills and experimenting with new techniques. Supplies Included. This class is select Tuesdays, 6-8 PM, May 13, May 27, Aug 5, Aug 26 (4 classes) at the Firehouse Cultural Center.

• Art Play Date – TMA@Firehouse- Select Saturdays. Make a date with your little one and create together. This course will explore art-making for ages 4 to 11. It’s a chance for children and their caregivers to make collaborative work together inspired by works on view at the Tampa Museum of Art. Forget fridge-worthy; create memories & art with a special place in your heart and on your wall. Each registration covers 1 caregiver artist + 1 child artist. Supplies Included. Select Saturdays 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, May 10, June 14, July 12, Aug 9 (4 classes) at The Firehouse Cultural Center.

• Remix TMA@Firehouse. Remix* TMA@Firehouse: Remix is a series of make-and-take art workshops for adults inspired by the Museum’s current exhibitions with a new project every month. Workshops are designed to be enjoyed by participants of any skill level and all materials are provided. Attend class at The Firehouse Cultural Center. Ages 18 and up. Select Saturdays, May 24 through Aug 23, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. (4 classes).

FALL 2025 FCC CLASSES:

Figure Drawing Group. Once a month for the summer, 2nd Thursday of the month in June, July, August For a Thursday session, starting June 12, 2025, look through the Figure Drawing Landing Page. Call 813-645-7651 or book online, $15 cash tuition is due at the door. 6:00 – 9:00 pm on Thursday, July 10, Thursday, August 14. Will be at FCC Annex building.
Strengthen your skills in our monitored figure drawing session with a variety of timed poses. Bring your chalk, paint, charcoal or pencil, you choose the medium! Model varies by session.

Open Pottery Studio For a Tuesday or Thursday morning session, or Thursday Evening session: Look through the Open Pottery Studio Landing Page. Call 813-645-7651 or book online. 9:30 am – Noon, Tuesdays or Thursdays, OR Thursday Evening from 6:00 – 8:30 pm. March – Dec 18, 2025.
Open Pottery Studio – a supervised, creative space where potters of all skill levels can explore, practice, and perfect their craft. This monitored environment ensures safety and support while offering access to professional-grade tools, wheels, and kilns. Whether you are hand-building, throwing, or glazing, our staff is available during all open studio hours to assist, answer questions, and maintain a safe, respectful studio atmosphere. Must have class experience to attend. Adults.

• Try Your Hand, at Pottery, a One-Time Art Experience – Aug 15 (am) Pottery Workshop: Learn about basic clay types, tools, and techniques. Hand-build a piece using techniques like pinching or slab work. You create one-of-a-kind Art, with surface decoration techniques like textures or carving & glazing. You’ll leave your piece behind for firing FCC will contact you when they’re ready for pickup. All materials supplied.

Each session will bring new techniques such as pinchpots, coil building, slab construction, and surface design. Make clay creations with guidance from a skilled instructor. All materials, tools, and firing is included. Wednesdays, July 30 – Aug 13, 1:00 – 3:30 pm.

• Introduction to Hand Building – evening Explore the art of hand building in this 3 week course perfect for any skill level. Each session will bring new techniques such as pinchpots, coil building, slab construction, and surface design. Make clay creations with guidance from a skilled instructor. All materials, tools, and firing is included. Wednesdays, July 30 – Aug 13, 6:00 – 8:30 pm.

• Homeschool Pottery Kids Pottery Class – Get your hands dirty and your creativity flowing in this fun and interactive 3-session pottery series designed just for kids! In this beginner-friendly class, young artists will explore the basics of working with clay through hand-building techniques and get an introduction to the pottery wheel. 3-Session Series (Ages 7–12) Session Length: 1 1/2 hours per session.Tuesdays, Aug. 19, 26, & Sept. 2, from 1:00 – 2:30 pm

• Glass Fusing Workshop – Sept. 23 Be the artist and create your own butterfly, cactus garden, or flowers.Choose the pattern and colors, and make it unique. This 4×6 pieceof glass will brighten any room and is a great alternative if you don’t have a green thumb. All materials are included, and all skill levels are welcome.
Tuesday, Sept. 23 from 10:00 – 11:30 am.
