Students will learn and explore: color (complementary colors, analogous colors, the chromatic richness of neutrals); brush strokes (from flat and variegated washes to dancing with your brushes); techniques (from wet-into-wet to spattering, pouring, spraying, stenciling, scrubbing).

Understanding Poetry by John Davis Jr. will help participants derive meaning from poems old and new. In this presentation, essential elements of poetry such as rhyme, meter, and diction will be examined, and participants will learn common forms of poems.

Robin Savage has performed in comedy clubs, casinos and seedy bars across the United States. Comedy club credits include McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre, Tampa Improv, and Side Splitters to name a few. Catherine Maloney has worked with popular Comedy Stars like Tom Cotter, Colin Quinn, Kevin Nealon, Gary Owen, and Tom Green. Trish Keating was a divisional semi-finalist for the Boston Comedy Festival, featured in the Tampa Bay Comedy Festival and in “The Teacher’s Lounge Comedy Show” series at The Tampa Improv.

Ken Loomer was the house drummer at the Jazz Cellar in Ybor City for 8 years. John Lamb, a virtuoso performer bassist; former bass player with Duke Ellington. Tony Castellano, Jr. started playing piano at age 7; his father was a pianist who had a trio in the Miami area. Franco Marino used to play tenor sax with Tony Castellano’s father!
