Mitch Woods delivers a masterclass in piano blues that opens with the classic Crescent City stylings of “Solid Gold Cadillac” and relentlessly delivers blues and R&B of the highest order.

A unique program developed by cellist Theresa Villani has as its base a new take on a beloved “fairy tale” and groups of songs to keep you smiling and laughing. Tenor Jerry Arnold, cellist Theresa Villani, and pianist/composer Colleen Schmitt combine their forces of musical virtuosity and dramatic flair to offer an electric-energy program you will not soon forget.

Music lovers of all levels, explore the fascinating inner workings of the musical world. Music from cultures around the world to popular 20th Century music genres will be presented. Monthly on Tuesdays, Oct. – May.

“A Time for Truth” will encompass the history of the non-fiction genre in American literature as well as the importance of such other fact-based writing styles such as essays, editorials and short stories.

This is a multi-level class for anyone who would like to explore acrylic painting. Work with representational painting, abstraction and collage while improving skills with color, composition and techniques. A fun, flexible class for all students.

Students will learn and explore: color (complementary colors, analogous colors, the chromatic richness of neutrals); brush strokes (from flat and variegated washes to dancing with your brushes); techniques (from wet-into-wet to spattering, pouring, spraying, stenciling, scrubbing).

“Ladies Choice” Comedy Night on Friday Night with Headliner Rene Bray, whose diverse comedy allows her to relate to any audience with grace. Rene explains her life with biting wit, and can roar like a lion or purr like a cat (sometimes both at once). Featuring Comic Cure’s Funniest Female 2018 Sheena Reagan. With Special Guest Susan Sussman. Plus Michael Murillo as Emcee!

Jimmy Griswold can regularly be found playing guitar at venues of all sizes. Jimmy pays homage to any artist he covers, whether it be the warm tones of T-bone Walker & B.B. King, or the screaming sounds of Roy Buchanan, Jeff Beck and Steve Ray Vaughan, all while staying true to his original style.

SOLD OUT Ronny Cox, is a superbly talented singer-songwriter, musician and actor who has been active in the music world and Hollywood for 40+ years. He played the guitar in the ‘Dueling Banjos’ scene in “Deliverance”, creating an iconic moment in movie history. Ronny is presently working on the TV show “Nashville” and performs his song “I’ll Waltz You Home”. Ronny Cox will be joined by Chip Dolan on keyboard and accordion and Ansel Barnum on harmonica.

This free program gives teens the unique opportunity to create their art alongside a different professional working artist from the community every month. Our artists will guide you to use new mediums & techniques and inform you about careers as an artist. All supplies included. In partnership with the Tampa Museum of Art. During these six sessions you will have the opportunity to write in the many varied styles of non-fiction, from memoir, to history, to current events and persuasive essays, with a dash of journalism. Your writing will be based in truth, reality, and facts…it will be your view of your life, of the world, based on your experiences.

Circus props and more are transformed into objects of scientific concern and fascination to stimulate thought, interest and a better understanding of science for grade K through 5.

Understanding Poetry by John Davis Jr. will help participants derive meaning from poems old and new. In this presentation, essential elements of poetry such as rhyme, meter, and diction will be examined, and participants will learn common forms of poems.

Poetry Writing by John Davis Jr. will allow participants to experiment with various methods for creating verses. Poetic forms will be examined, and different ways to derive inspiration will also be explored. Through this workshop, participants will be able to construct, revise, and submit poems of their own for potential publication.

The Charlie Morris Band delivers energetic and laid back original tunes that are a blend of Blues, Country & Florida Swamp Music.
