During these six sessions you will have the opportunity to write in the many varied styles of non-fiction, from memoir, to history, to current events and persuasive essays, with a dash of journalism. Your writing will be based in truth, reality, and facts…it will be your view of your life, of the world, based on your experiences.

Circus props and more are transformed into objects of scientific concern and fascination to stimulate thought, interest and a better understanding of science for grade K through 5.

Understanding Poetry by John Davis Jr. will help participants derive meaning from poems old and new. In this presentation, essential elements of poetry such as rhyme, meter, and diction will be examined, and participants will learn common forms of poems.

Poetry Writing by John Davis Jr. will allow participants to experiment with various methods for creating verses. Poetic forms will be examined, and different ways to derive inspiration will also be explored. Through this workshop, participants will be able to construct, revise, and submit poems of their own for potential publication.

The Charlie Morris Band delivers energetic and laid back original tunes that are a blend of Blues, Country & Florida Swamp Music.

SOLD OUT Using a linoleum or easy carve block, students will learn to produce large printed images made of multiple layers of color, all carved in reduction from one block. In partnership with the Tampa Museum of Art.

Ken Carlyle, T.J Weger, Eric “Flycatcher” Carlson, Don Cox, and Joe Martin – provide an infectious mix of original and classic songs deeply rooted in the styles of Western Swing, Bluegrass, Americana and Zydeco.
