BOOK FOR THE MONTH! Learn the basics of how to form clay through pinching, coil building, and working with slabs. Combine these forming methods together to make some fun shapes! Students should expect to make several pieces using these techniques. With introduction of wheel throwing. Clay, tools, glazing and firing included. Thursdays: 9:30am – 11:30am Adults. You will explore color, dive into a variety of brush strokes from flat washes to dancing with your brushes; techniques from wet to scrubbing; and more. This class is for all levels, heighten your skills or find your hidden talent. Mondays, Jan. 9 thru Feb. 13, 2023.

Explore acrylic media and techniques more in-depth study of acrylics, aesthetics, and medium. Students will talk about their work and the work of others in the classroom critiques at the start each class. This class is for all levels, heighten your skills or find your hidden talent. Create 9 Unique Glass Hearts! Experience the Art of Glass Fusing. Fill your heart with glass, with this 2-class workshop, you create unique hearts using molds, nippers, hammers, and cutters. Just in time to give your heart away for Valentines. All Materials Supplied. Saturday, Jan. 14 and Saturday, Jan 21 from 10:00 am – noon.

Printmaking TMA@Firehouse. Printmaking includes a variety of methods of creating multiple works of art from a single image. This 6 week class will explore a variety of printmaking techniques such as linocut and monoprint methods to make unique hand-printed works of art. All materials supplied. Six class series in Jan / Feb, 2023.

Make a beautiful steppingstone for your garden and learn the basics of mosaics at the same time. This four-session class you will learn how to use tools to cut and shape glass and ceramics to make a garden steppingstone. Bring your old dishes to class with you. Glass, tiles, and ceramics will be provided as well as a 12″ x 12″ cement base. All Materials Supplied. Thursdays, Jan. 19 – Feb 8.

Like Colorful & Easy to Make Gifts? Experience the vibrant magic of alcohol ink as you make at least 6 cards and 3 pendant necklaces. Teens to Adults, no experience required. All materials included. Saturday, Jan. 21, 10:00 am – noon.

Come explore the art of metalsmithing. You will saw, file, texture and rivet on silver, copper, and brass. Emphasis will be texturing & riveting metals together, creating your unique jewelry. Various techniques will be demonstrated. You will make a finished piece of jewelry of either a pendant or earrings. All materials supplied. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2:00 – 4:30 pm.
