Studio 55 is for adults 55 and older to connect over art and artmaking. This is TMA’s participation in the Vitality Arts Project for Art Museums funded by EA Michelson Philanthropy to promote the work of anti-ageism in our community and industry. While building a community of artists, students will learn new techniques, develop artistic skills, and create their own impressionist-inspired masterpieces. Free 8-week class, Wednesdays 10:00 am – 1:00 pm to October 18th – December 13th. No class Nov. 22.

BOOK FOR THE MONTH! Learn the basics of how to form clay through pinching, coil building, and working with slabs. Combine these forming methods together to make some fun shapes! Students should expect to make several pieces using these techniques. With introduction of wheel throwing. Clay, tools, glazing and firing included. Thursdays: 9:30am – 11:30am Adults. When two tourists discover a treasure chest full of historical artifacts, they are magically transported back in time in a fun-filled journey through Florida History. The audience will laugh as they learn about Ponce De Leon, the settlement of Pensacola (Florida’s “Almost Oldest” city), the founding of St. Augustine, and the “Original” Pocahontas story.

Engaging jazz vocalist Whitney James is making her debut performance at the Firehouse, backed by well-known jazz guitarist LaRue Nickelson, with Alejandro Arenas on bass, and Dave Rudolph on drums. The quartet will feature a mix of Great American Songbook standards and modern standards.
