Each Art Play Date Session is a stand-alone session for caregiver and child artist to play with materials and create a collaborative project. This class is on select Saturdays, May 10 through Aug 9 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Firehouse Cultural Center.

Teen artists will explore a variety of mediums and work closely with innovative local teaching artists. With mentorship and socialization at the forefront, they’ll learn about different paths in art while developing their skills and experimenting with new techniques.
Supplies Included. This class is select Tuesdays, 6-8 PM, May 13, May 27, Aug 5, Aug 26 at the Firehouse Cultural Center.

Remix* TMA@Firehouse: Remix is a series of make-and-take art workshops for adults inspired by the Museum’s current exhibitions with a new project every month. Workshops are designed to be enjoyed by participants of any skill level and all materials are provided. Attend class at The Firehouse Cultural Center. Ages 18 and up. May 24 through Aug 23, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. (4 classes).

Ten (10) weeks of fun for your Campers ages 7-15! You may choose a single week, multiple weeks, or every week. Explore a different theme each week from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm, with snack times & lunch break – all in a creative and safe environment. Some weeks culminate with a “Show & Share” for Family and Friends. This monitored environment ensures safety and support while offering access to professional-grade tools, wheels, and kilns. Whether you are hand-building, throwing, or glazing, our staff is available during all open studio hours to assist, answer questions, and maintain a safe, respectful studio atmosphere. Must have class experience to attend. Tuesdays: 9:30am – Noon. Adults. March 2025 – December 2025.

This series of classes is an introduction to the unique world of wire-wrapped jewelry. Use a variety of jewelry-making tools, wire, and metals to manipulate wire into shapes, create strength and texture, and understand and incorporate beads and other embellishments into your designs. All inspired by the many symbolic forms and shapes in the Art of Coptic Egypt exhibition. Sundays, 1 – 4 pm. July 20, July 27, August 8. (3 classes)

Create the Landscape of your imagination: Use references to build dimensional mountains, fields, and meadows. Explore atmosphere through color and shape. Develop techniques to evoke emotions in your scenery. Evoke a specific atmosphere in landscape. Instructor: Helen Solomon. All material included, beginners are welcome. July 21 and July 28: 1:30 – 3:30 pm.

Create one-of-a-kind jewelry using pre-cut copper, brass, and sterling silver. Instructor. Kate Hamilton will teach you how to texture, rivet, and assemble your own bracelet, pendant, earrings, or keychain. Limited to 6 students per class. Sat. July 26, 2:00 – 3:30 pm.
